</p><p>“永院公故居为”六扇厝，分两排三进形制屹立在竹秀村中部。整座六扇厝面积达660平方米，其中主厝460平方米，私塾200平方米。在六扇厝的房前围墙和后院墙基上，有四五处用青石镶嵌的葫芦和莲花状墙基。</p><p class="qf_image big noneditable" style="position: relative;" </p><p>据房屋主人介绍，葫芦图腾在古代民间被视为多子多孙的象征，而且葫芦还与“福禄”谐音，被视为长命百寿、有福有禄的吉祥物。许多地方，常在幼小娃娃的身上、胸前佩戴小葫芦，以祈长命百岁。显然，六扇厝主人多处镶嵌葫芦（福禄）于基石，除了折射中国传统文化元素外，也在为子孙后代祈福。</p><p> </p><section data-support="96编辑器" </p></section><section><section><section><section></section><section></section></section><section><section></section><section></section></section></section></section></section><section></section></section></section><p>进入六扇厝，从屏风两旁绕出就是天井。天井中，有两个硕大的水缸。缸中植有莲花，多条红鲤鱼在清澈的水中自由穿梭舞动。据介绍，古民居置放水缸，兼具蓄水防火、蓄水聚财和蓄水防毒等功效。</p><p </p></section><section><section><section><section></section><section></section></section><section><section></section><section></section></section></section></section></section><section></section></section></section><p>进入六扇厝大厅，用雕梁画栋、美轮美奂等等美丽辞藻形容，一点也不为过。大厅梁上和屋檐承托、斗拱经过户主花费百万元修葺，如今已然金碧辉煌。鎏金的构件中，飞禽走兽、花鸟鱼虫遍布各个角落。福禄寿三星高照，历史英雄人物故事，恰到好处地分布于枋间和斗拱上。在这些修葺一新的雕梁画栋中，有一面2米来长的“选魁”牌匾特别醒目。</p><p contenteditable="false">金碧辉煌的大厅</span></p><p>据了解，选魁并不是进士“出身”。选魁，是清朝对岁贡、恩贡的称呼。匾文的意思，即是恭贺岁科或恩中的贡生。贡生，就是地方选拔出人头地的秀才进贡给朝廷任用，并不等于进士。但是，贡生和举人、进士一样被视为正途出身。</p><p class="qf_image big noneditable" contenteditable="false">“选魁”牌匾</span></p><p>六扇厝大厅拥有“选魁”牌匾，说明百年前，其家族在当地甚有名望。厝主林先生说，当年，其祖上像千千万万走南闯北的“福清哥”一样，年轻时就远涉重洋。在异国他乡，披荆斩棘、筚路蓝缕。事业有成后，报效故里，用了13万两“大银”盖了六扇厝和附廊等房子。还开办了200多平方米的私塾，免费接纳同村和隔壁村的少年儿童入学堂就读。同时，在高山镇街上开张过竹秀油圹、竹秀典当行。在福州城区、平潭县城开过钱庄和典当行。</p><p>
