box-sizing: border-box;">福建省教育厅限令福州各中学一概内迁。是年仲夏，融美中学首次迁至福清东张镇香山村，借用该村祠堂和一户倪姓宅院办学；附属小学则迁往龙田积库村祠堂。次年初夏，因香山村疟疾肆虐，学校被迫再次迁址，暂借福庐山福庐禅寺复课。然而，寺院的简陋条件让师生们难以为继，最终学校返回原址，在校门外挖掘防空壕以应对空袭。与此同时，毓贞女中和明义中学的师生，则辗转迁移到县城西门外的溪前村、镜洋乡磨石村等地，继续他们的求学之路。</span></p><p style="text-wrap: wrap; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; text-align: justify;"><span leaf="">1941年4月19日，日军占领了连江、长乐、福州及周边沿海地区。4月20日，福清县城及海口镇沦陷。此后数月，侵融日军多次进犯东张、渔溪、阳下、龙田等地，烧杀掳掠，无恶不作。迫于战乱，福清县的融美、毓贞、明义，福州市的毓英、正德，平潭县的岚华，古田县的毓馨、超古，闽清县的毓真、天儒等10所基督教卫理公会所属的初级中学，全部迁往内地顺昌县元坑乡联合办学。</span></p><section style="margin-top: 16px;margin-bottom: 16px;" nodeleaf=""></section><span leaf="">抗战时期，福州部分学校师生内迁乘小汽船赴顺昌洋口</span><p style="text-indent: 2em; text-wrap: wrap; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><span leaf="">尽管生活条件极为艰苦，但学校管理依然井然有序。杨昌栋校长凭借卓越的领导才能，统筹安排，让来自不同学校的师生友好相处、共克时艰。学校利用有限的经费，实行勤工俭学补助和培优奖学制度，帮助贫困学生自立自强，完成学业。曾在卫理联中就读的学生陈仁瑞回忆说：“我进卫理联中后，参加清洗厕所和校园扫地劳动，解决一部分学习费用。当时学校规定：凡各班学习成绩第一的学生，每学期可得70元奖学金，全校成绩最好的学生，可得100元奖学金。我拼命学习，最终获得100元奖学金，加上勤工俭学所得，学费问题得以解决。”这种在困境中奋发向上的精神，正是卫理联中师生坚韧不拔的真实写照。</span></p><section style="text-align: center;margin-top: 16px;margin-bottom: 16px;" nodeleaf=""></section><p style="text-indent: 2em; text-wrap: wrap; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><span leaf="">“本邑私立融美、明义、毓贞各初级中学，于去夏闽海沦陷期中，内迁顺昌，与平潭岚华，古田超古、毓馨，闽清天儒、毓真，福州正德、毓英等计十个初中，合设私立卫理联合初级中学，公推杨昌栋充任校长。第以顺昌路遥，地处山区，学生多水土不服，致病因而休辍。各该校校董有鉴及此，始向福建基督教教育委员会陈述事实。该会因于六月二十日在南平召开会议，吾融各校推柯富教士、施笙友、陈正益两牧师代表出席。到会数十人，对于该校等分合问题，讨论考虑极为详尽。最后投票表决，通过各自迁回原校复办。</span></p><p style="text-indent: 2em;
