探寻陈嘉庚先生在福清的足迹

YaHei;">今年10月21日是陈嘉庚先生诞辰150周年。在这特殊的年份，全国上下掀起了纪念陈嘉庚先生的热潮。厦门大学嘉庚学院是全国唯一以“嘉庚”命名的大学。作为一名厦门大学嘉庚学院学生，我也深受感染，一段时间以来，我走进场馆，观看展览，查找资料，探寻陈嘉庚先生的故事。让我感到激动的是，从嘉庚先生日记中，我惊奇发现先生居然也到访过他的家乡——福清。看着先生笔下记载的见闻，有一种时空交错的感觉，犹如跨过数十年的时光，与嘉庚先生一起重走家乡路。</span></span></p></section><section none;font-family: 微软雅黑, Microsoft YaHei;">关于这段经历，先生在日记中这样记载：“十月十一日早，余离福州坐小汽船，来长乐县界上陆，转来福清。......起程后过长乐界入福清区”。从福州到福清要乘船？带着这个疑问，我查询了相关资料。上个世纪20年代日本东亚同文会在东京编纂发行的<span class="">中国地方志</span>《中国省别全志》（日文原题《支那省别全誌》）《<span class="">福建卷</span>》第五编《交通运输与邮电》第六章，记述了福清到福州、莆田等地的交通情况。据记载：福清位于福州南部，中间隔着宽阔的闽江。当年闽江上没有桥梁， 从福州到福清，先利用水路到长乐玉田，从玉田再走陆路。从福州到长乐的水路，每天早晨有一班小蒸汽船航班。小蒸汽船在闽江顺流而下到马尾，然后右行到营前。在营前，沿着一条小溪逆流而上到达玉田。从玉田越过石湖岭，就到了福清地界——作坊村，可望到一座城墙，这就是福清县。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;text-indent: 2.25em;"><span YaHei;">新中国成立后，为改善福厦公路交通条件，1970年初，经国务院批准，福建省革命委员会决定在闽江下游乌龙江古渡口上建造乌龙江大桥，当年4月20日动工，1971年9月26日建成通车。“一桥飞架南北，天堑变通途”，结束了福厦公路通车几十年来都是依靠轮渡接渡车辆的历史。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;text-indent: YaHei;">嘉庚先生在日记中提到了福清的地标——瑞云塔。日记载：“越早散步市外，见一石塔高八九层，登其最高处，全城可尽览。”在福清市龙江北岸有一座号称“南天玉柱”的瑞云塔。该塔始建于明万历三十四年(公元1606年)，竣于万历四十三年(公元1615年)，费时10年。当时由“内阁首辅”叶向高之子、府丞叶成学与知县凌汉翀募捐鸠工，名匠李邦达负责设计施工。传说卜基之日，五色云自太保山来覆其上，烂漫辉映，故塔成后名为“瑞云塔”。如今，瑞云塔成为外地游客来福清必游的名胜古迹。</span></p><p Microsoft YaHei;">在日记中，我还了解到一件关于嘉庚先生“帮助华侨回乡”的善举。嘉庚先生在福清期间，“有数人来告，昨自上海开到输船一只载有回国华侨三百余人，政府阻止不许登岸，当驶回上海。”原来正值日军侵华期间，国民党当局数月前已通知各船局，福清等港口不许轮船倚泊起客卸货，恐敌人来此攻击。”</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;text-indent: 2.25em;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);text-shadow: none;font-family: 微软雅黑, Microsoft YaHei;">考虑到“如不准其登岸，不但使热诚回国之侨胞失望，（驶回上海）尚恐有海面遇敌之危险，数百侨胞有性命关系”，嘉庚先生立即就向驻守当地的某团长求情，准华侨们登岸。未果。“据言系福州军长命令，他无权许其登岸”。嘉庚先生于是“乃托其电请福州陈军长此次格外作情，特许登陆。午后接电许可，于是全船三百余名咸即上岸，各回家乡去矣。”</span></p><p style="line-height:
