15px;">到20世纪70年代，王良英已经从一位普通的华侨发展成为当时颇有成就的实业家。1988年，王良英正式创立家族企业——王诺集团，亲任主席，集团旗下拥有达雅金融、达沙玛纺纱厂、达沙德纺纱厂、达雅利亚贸易、达那康置业（房地产）、达基发展（房地产）、巴林都胶合板厂、桑尼达置业（房地产）、巴林玛国际贸易、达新棉业等10家公司。</span></section><section 15px;">王良英长期居住海外，但拥有深厚的故国家园之情。他先后担任沙拉笛卡玉融公会主席等职位，为华侨公益事业出钱出力。从1970年起，他先后为生养他的家乡南门村捐赠拖拉机、化肥，资助兴办蛤场，修建电灌站、水泥路等。他还捐资成立福清市济助贫侨基金会，帮助全市最贫困的归侨；并先后资助福州市残疾人福利基金会、福州市儿童基金会、福州市工人文化宫福利基金会等数十个单位。</span></section><section 15px;">作为最早在中国设立科教基金的人，王良英设立的众多奖励基金在促进科技教育、完善福利事业方面作出了重大的贡献。如“王丹萍福建省科学技术奖”是当时福建省社会力量设立的科学技术奖中最有影响的大奖，也是国家和省科技奖励的很好补充，从1990年至2004年15届获奖的74人（77人次）中，就有梁栋材等中国科学院院士8人，魏可镁等中国工程院院士2人。</span></section><section 15px;">尤其是王良英于1992年设立的总额500万美元的全国性“王丹萍科学奖金”，是一项面向我国中、青年科研人员和工程技术人员的永久性奖励，王良英任理事会名誉主席，由时任科技部部长朱丽兰任理事会主席，卢嘉锡、宋健、叶飞等担任理事会顾问，每年奖励5名，除首届奖金为8万元以外，其余各届均为每人10万元人民币，颁布的12届奖项共有60多位科学技术人才获奖，其中赵忠贤、牛憨笨、古德生、顾玉东、石元春等众多优秀中青年科技工作者目前已当选中国科学院院士、中国工程院院士等。</span></section><section 15px;">走进海口丹萍小学，只见红色校门里秩序井然，整洁干净的校园里共有三幢楼，均位于进校门左手位置，进门第一幢就是1991年奠基的三层贤霖楼，淡黄色的外墙略显时代的沧桑；中间白墙红色围栏的五层楼则是2002年建设的王良英科教楼，该楼还荣获福州市2003年度“榕城杯”优质工程；最里面一幢则为贤霖幼儿园。进校门右手位置则设有红色的标准跑道和篮球场、排球场等。</span></section><section 15px;">据海口丹萍小学校长陈文标介绍，目前学校归属海口中心小学辖区，占地面积为11298平方米，建筑面积为5024平方米。随着城市化的进程，越来越多的年轻人选择前往城市发展，位于农村的丹萍小学也由于片区人口减少，导致生源紧张，每个年段仅有20多名学生，但丹萍小学却非常重视排球运动这一特色项目，坚持在校长的带领下每日勤学苦练，屡屡获得辖区排球联赛好成绩，2023年更是勇夺福清市海口中心小学辖区夏季学生排球联赛“男子组第一名”“女子组第一名”的“双第一”，还于2020年9月被教育部评为2020年度“全国青少年校园排球特色学校”。</span></section><section
